Beef-Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. sliced zucchini
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • water
  • 1/3 c. catsup (for flavor)
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 qt. (4 c.) fresh or frozen strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or a mix
  • 1/3 c. or less sugar or according to taste
  • juice of lemon or 2 Tbsp. sherry

Directions

    Wash and drain fresh berries.

    Puree until smooth (add a little water to frozen berries, if needed).

    Add sugar and lemon juice and mix.
