  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 whole eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add one egg, slightly beaten.

    Add a little flour.

    Stir well.

    Continue in same manner until all eggs and flour have been added.

    Add vanilla; mix well.

    Mixture will be stiff.

    Pour into lightly greased tube pan or loaf pan.

    Bake 40 minutes at 375° or until cake is golden brown.
