Beef Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 Tbsp. steak sauce
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 5 oz. macaroni
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom soup
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Brown beef in a large saucepan until all red is gone.

    Add onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, tomatoes, catsup, steak sauce, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.

    Mix cheese with cooked macaroni until melted.

    Combine with beef mixture. Spoon in mushroom soup.

    Pour mixture into casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until brown.

    Makes two 1-quart baking dishes.
