  • 2 lb. cut up stew meat
  • 6 carrots, diced
  • 3 medium potatoes, cut up
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. tomatoes
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 slice bread, broken

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together and place in a heavy, covered casserole dish.

    Bake in a 325° to 350° oven for about 2 1/2 hours.

    Stir 2 or 3 times during baking time.

    Add more water if needed.
