  • 3 1/2 to 4 lb. rump roast
  • 1 c. sliced onion
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1/2 c. water (add more if you prefer)
  • generous dash of pepper
  • potatoes
  • carrots

Directions

    Trim fat from roast; place in roasting pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour (no lid!).

    Spoon off fat; add onion and cook for 30 minutes.

    Combine garlic powder, Italian seasoning, tomato soup and water; pour over meat.

    Cover and bake for 1 more hour.

    Add potatoes and carrots.

    Bake 1 more hour.
