- 1 lb. beef flank steak
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Trim off all visible fat from meat.

2Cut flank steak lengthwise (with grain) into strips about 1/4-inch thick (or less).

3Combine seasonings; sprinkle over cut up steak strips and mix well. Arrange strips of steak, flat and close together, on wire cooling racks set onto cookie sheets.

4Bake in slow oven at 175° for 3 to 4 hours, or until dry (but not dried up and brittle; it should still be a bit chewy).

5Cool on paper towels.

6Store in jar in refrigerator.
