Ingredients

  • flank steak or brisket
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1/3 tsp. barbecue salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/3 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. m.s.g.
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. Worcestershire

Directions

    Trim all fat from meat and slice, combine all ingredients and mix well.

    Put meat in shallow dish and cover with the sauce. Marinate 12 to 24 hours.

    Lay strips in single layer over oven rack.

    Put cookie sheet below to catch drippings.

    Set oven at low temperature, about 150°, with door cracked open.

    Roast 6 to 8 hours, testing for chewiness.

    Store in glass jar.
