Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • garlic to taste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 6 green onions and tops, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 7 to 10 oz. flat noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 to 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

    Brown meat in skillet.

    Add butter, garlic, salt, sugar, pepper and tomato sauce and simmer over low heat 15 to 20 minutes. Combine the onions, cream cheese and sour cream.

    Using a 2-quart casserole, alternate the layers of beef mixture, cream cheese mixture, cooked noodles and grated cheese and repeat.

    Sprinkle top with grated Cheddar cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 30 minutes.
