- beef (bottom round is very tender)
- 1 large onion, diced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- beef consomme
- cornstarch
- sherry
- puffy pastry
- egg
Directions

1Cut beef in small pieces; brown in butter.

2Cook onion until tender.

3Add salt and pepper to taste.

4Add mushrooms.

5In separate pan, pour beef consomme and thicken with cornstarch; pour in a little sherry.

6Spray baking dish with Pam.

7Line with puffy pastry.

8Beat up egg with a little water; coat pastry.

9Place beef, etc. in pastry; cover with another piece of pastry.

10Brush with egg and bake at 350° until golden brown, approximately 30 minutes.
