Beef Pot Pie Pockets

  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1/2 lb ground beef, cooked & drained of any fat
  • 6 oz frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 large egg, beaten + splash of water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

    Preheat over to 350F.

    Combine meat, vegetables, and canned soup.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces.

    Roll each piece into a rectangular shape.

    Top dough with 1/8 of meat mixture.

    Fold over dough leaving a border to fold back over to create a seam.

    Using a fork, crimp each side of pocket.

    Place each pocket seam side down on foil or parchment paper lined baking sheet.

    Brush each pastry with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    Bake 15-20 mins or until golden brown.

    Serve straight from oven, or as I do: cool each on baking sheet.

    Separately wrap each pocket in plastic wrap and freeze until ready to use.

    Reheating frozen pockets in microwave oven for 2-3 mins or until heated through.
