  • 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) beef chuck pot roast
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. beef bouillon granules
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 2 onions
  • potatoes, carrots, celery (amount desired)

Directions

    Peel and cut vegetables; place in crock-pot.

    Cut meat to fit pot.

    Combine other ingredients and pour over meat and vegetables. Cover and cook 10 to 12 hours on low; 5 to 6 hours on high.

    For more gravy, double water and spices.
