  • 3 lb. cut up beef (stew, round, chuck)
  • 3/4 c. chopped celery
  • 2 large onions
  • carrots and potatoes (as many as you like)
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Dissolve the sugar and flour in the tomato juice.

    Put meat and vegetables in casserole or covered baking dish.
  3. 3
    Pour tomatoes, flour and sugar over meat and cook covered for 5 hours at 250°.
