- 4 slices thin beef (about size of gourmet ham)
- 4 slices raw bacon, diced
- 2 c. onions, chopped
- 1 c. water (about)
- salt
- pepper
- paprika
Directions

1Season meat slices.

2Add 1/4 of bacon and onion on top of each meat slice and roll up jelly-roll style.

3Wrap with thread to hold together.

4Brown in hot oil all around, then add water to pan and simmer until meat is tender (may have to add additional water). Remove rouladen carefully from pot and thicken gravy with flour or cornstarch.

5Add more spices if needed.

6Pour gravy over rouladen (after removing thread carefully).

7Heat thoroughly and serve with noodles and vegetables.

8Serves 4.
