Ingredients
- 1 12 lbs flank steaks
- 14 cup soy sauce
- 14 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons Asian chili sauce (to taste)
- 14 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 14 cup minced fresh cilantro leaves
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 scallions, white and green parts, sliced thin
Directions

1Cut the flank steak in half lengthwise and put in freezer for 30 minutes (to firm).

2Combine soy sauce, oil, chili sauce, brown sugar, cilantro, garlic, and scallions in measuring cup, set aside.

3Remove the flank steak from freezer and slice each piece across the grain into 1/4-inch-thick strips.

4Weave the meat onto bamboo skewers (should make about 24 skewers).

5Dunk the meat ends of the skewers into marinade to coat; lay the skewers in a shallow dish and pour remaining marinade over top.

6Refrigerate for exactly 1 hour.

7You can either grill the beef OR adjust oven rack to top position and heat broiler.

8Lay the skewers on a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet and cover skewer end with foil.

9Broil for 6 to 7 minutes, flipping the skewers over half way through, until meat is browned.

10Serve immediately with peanut sauce.
