Beef Sherry

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb round steak or trimmed stew beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 pkg. dehydrated onion soup
  • 1/2 c. sherry cooking wine
  • fresh mushrooms to taste
  • butter to saute

Directions

    Cut beef (I use stew beef) into bite sized pieces.

    Do NOT braise.
  3. 3
    Combine the beef with soups and sherry.
  4. 4
    Pour into buttered casserole and cover. Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours. Clean slice, and saute mushrooms in butter.

    Add to casserole about 1/2 hour before serving.

    Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
