- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 lb. stew meat, cubed
- 1/4 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 potatoes, cubed
- 1 1/2 c. carrots, cubed
Directions

1Brown meat in hot oil.

2Add other ingredients.

3Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.

4Remove bay leaf.

5May be thickened by mixing 1/4 cup cold water and 2 tablespoons flour, then adding to stew.

6Simmer 5 minutes more.
