- 1 1/2 lb. stew beef
- flour
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 3 onions
- 3 potatoes
- 5 carrots
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. catsup
- salt and pepper
- 4 c. water
- 3 bay leaves
Directions

1Coat meat with flour and brown in oil with one sliced onion. Add water and bay leaves.

2Simmer for one hour.

3Add catsup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.

4Simmer for 45 minutes. Add vegetables and cook until tender (30 to 40 minutes).

5If desired, add one tablespoon cornstarch to 1/4 cup cold water, then add to gravy to thicken.
