- 3 or 4 lb. beef stew meat
- 1/2 c. onion
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 4 potatoes, cubed
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 3 c. water
Directions

1Brown flour in oil, stirring to make smooth paste.

2Add meat, salt, pepper, water and tomato sauce.

3Mix well.

4Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

5Add vegetables.

6Simmer 30 minutes or longer if needed until vegetables are no longer hard.
