- 1 1/2 lb. stew beef, cubed
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. Mazola oil
- 1 sliced onion
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can water
- 1 (16 oz.) can sliced carrots
- 1 (16 oz.) can small whole potatoes, cut in half
- 1 c. pearl onions
Directions

1Coat beef with seasoned flour.

2Heat oil in Dutch oven, then add beef and brown on all sides.

3Drain off fat.

4Add onion, seasonings, lemon juice, sugar, Worcestershire, water, tomato sauce.

5Cover and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours, adding more water if necessary.
