- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 lb. beef cubes
- 1 large onion, sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (15 oz.) can cut green beans
- 4 to 6 carrots, cut into pieces
- 4 to 6 potatoes, cut into chunks
Directions

1Melt margarine in pan on stove.

2Brown meat with onion, salt and pepper added.

3Place potatoes, green beans, carrots and water over meat.

4Cover and bake in the oven at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until meat is tender.

5Return to stove.

6Make a paste of 2 tablespoons flour and 1/4 cup water.

7Stir into stew to thicken broth.
