- 1 lb. sirloin
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 c. onion, sliced
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. chives
- 1/2 c. sour cream
Directions

1Rub meat with garlic, cut into strips.

2Mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika.

3Add meal; toss until coated.

4Reserve flour. Heat margarine in skillet; add meat and brown.

5Add onion and cook until transparent.

6Add flour, consomme, mushrooms and water; cover.

7Cook slowly, stirring occasionally for 45 minutes or until tender.

8Remove cover and continue cooking until mixture is slightly thickened.

9Add sour cream and chives.

10Serves 4.
