Beef Stroganoff

  • 1 1/2 lb. beef round, cut in 1 inch cubes
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes with 8 oz. hot water
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 c. (4 oz. can) sliced mushrooms with liquid
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 4 1/2 c. (6 oz.) wide egg noodles

Directions

    Saute beef cubes and onion in butter until meat is browned. Add bouillon and Worcestershire sauce.

    Cover and simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.

    Add mushrooms with liquid.

    Combine sour cream and flour; blend into meat mixture. Cook 5 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

    Cook noodles and drain.

    Serve stroganoff over noodles.
