- 1 1/2 lb. fillet of beef
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 Tbsp. minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 lb. mushrooms
- grating of nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. basil (optional)
- 1/2 c. sour cream
Directions

1Pound beef with mallet until thin.

2Cut into strips about 1-inch wide.

3Melt the 1 tablespoon butter in pan.

4Saute onion for 2 minutes.

5Then saute beef quickly in the butter, about 5 minutes. Turn; brown evenly.

6Remove the beef; keep it hot.

7Add the 2 tablespoons butter in pan.

8Melt.

9Add mushrooms.

10Add beef. Season with salt, paprika, nutmeg and basil.

11Add and heat, but do not boil, the sour cream.

12Makes 4 servings.
