- 1 lb. 12 oz. can chopped but not drained tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (undrained)
- 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 3 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. sweet basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Saute onion in butter; add beef and brown well.

2Drain off excess grease.

3Stir in remaining ingredients.

4Bring to boil, stirring frequently.

5Simmer, covered, 25 minutes, or until serving time.
