- 1 lb. beef stew meat, cubed
- flour
- 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) bottle beer
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 to 3 carrots, sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 or 4 potatoes, diced
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (optional)
Directions

1Roll beef in flour. Brown in oil in Dutch oven. Add onion, garlic and salt. Saute. Add beer, mushrooms, carrots and bay leaf. Cover and simmer slowly 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and peas last 1/2 hour.
