- 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer (room temperature)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2In mixing bowl, place flour (measuring by spooning it into a cup and leveling the surface; don't shake down).

3Add sugar and stir well with the spoon.

4Add beer all at once and before stirring break the egg into it.

5Mix the egg into the beer and stir the mix with a spoon.

6Stir long enough to mix well.

7Put batter into a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

8Bake 60 to 65 minutes.
