Beer Bread Recipe

  • 2 c. all purpose self rising flour
  • 1 can (12 ounce.) beer
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • Melted butter

    Beer bread is fun, quick, easy and has the best flavor thanks to the beer (its alcohol cooks out) !

    The bread rises quickly and is light as a feather.

    If desired, bake the bread in a foil lined pan (mold foil on outside of pan first, then fit into pan).

    Grease foil well.

    The bread is pale but delicious, especially when served hot with plenty of butter.

    Gently mix together flour, sugar and beer just till blended.

    Turn out into an unfloured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.

    If using a metal pan, bake in a preheated 375 degree oven, if glass, 350 degree oven.

    Bake 20 to 25 min or possibly till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    Drizzle with butter.

    Turn out onto a rack and cold slightly.
