Beer Brisket

  • 1 6-8 lb. beef brisket
  • 1 onion peeled and sliced
  • 1 12 oz. bottle chilli sauce
  • 2 T. brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 12 oz. can of beer

Directions

    Place brisket in 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Place onion slices on top of brisket. In a bowl, whisk chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic and beer. Pour mixture over beef. Cover with foil and bake 3 1/2 hours. Remove foil and bake 30 more minutes longer; basting with cooking juices. Season with salt and pepper. Slice and serve with pan juices.
