- 4 c. Bisquick mix
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. cornmeal
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 1/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. all-purpose unbleached flour
- 1 egg white
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl.

2Stir in salt, shortening and 1 1/2 cups of the flour.

3Beat with spoon until smooth.

4Stir in enough remaining flour (first with spoon, then continue by hand) to make dough easy to handle.
