- 1 1/2 (12 oz.) cans beer
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 4 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 beaten egg for egg wash
- coarse kosher salt
Directions

1Mix beer, yeast and sugar together until yeast is dissolved and foamy.

2Add flour; mix well.

3Knead about 10 minutes.

4Cover and let rise until doubled.

5Cover a cookie sheet with foil and grease well.

6Punch dough down; break off walnut sized pieces of dough and roll into rope, then shape into pretzel.

7Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.

8Bake at 475° about 12 minutes.

9Best eaten while still warm as the pretzels get tough as they sit.
