- 1 gal. beets
- 4 c. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cut beet tops off 3-inches from beets.

2Cook until tender; cool and remove skins.

3Half or quarter beets if they are large. Heat sugar, cloves and salt.

4Add beets; let boil 10 minutes. Pack in jars; cover with the hot syrup and seal.
