- 5 qt. beets
- 3 c. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 c. beet water (water that beets have been cooked in)
- dash of salt (optional)
Directions

1Wash beets.

2Cover with cold water.

3Bring to a boil and cook until tender.

4When beets are cold, slip skins.

5To make 5 quarts beets into pickles, bring ingredients to a boil (except beets). Add beets, bring to a boil and put in cans to which a stick of cinnamon has been added.

6Put beets into cans that are hot.
-
7Put lids on and let cool.
