Beets With Pineapple

- 1 lb. can tiny whole beets, drained (reserve liquid)
- 1 lb. can pineapple chunks (unsweetened), drained (reserve liquid)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. sugar (can use a lot less)
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Cook juice drained from beets and pineapple in saucepan with cornstarch, sugar and vinegar, stirring constantly, until thickened.

2Add salt and pepper to taste, drained beets and pineapple and butter.

3Cook slowly for 20 minutes and serve hot or cold.
