- 1 lb. lean stewing beef in cubes
- 4 chopped (diced) shallots
- brown sugar
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 cloves garlic
Directions

1Brown and drain the beef cubes.

2Add brown sugar and caramelize into meat.

3Add 2 cups water, beef cubes, bay leaves, garlic (crushed) and shallots.

4Simmer for 2 hours, stirring frequently and never allowing to loose level of liquid.

5Thicken to desired consistency with cornstarch.

6Serve with boiled potatoes and carrots.
