- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. all purpose flour
Directions

1Combine all ingredients thoroughly but don't overbeat or possibly cake will become tough.

2Bake in a 325-350 degree oven till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
