- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 to 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 c. berries (huckleberries, blueberries or cranberries), if sour berries, use 1/3 c. sugar
Directions

1Mix and sift dry ingredients, reserving 2 tablespoons flour for dredging the berries.

2Beat egg slightly, add milk and gradually the dry ingredients.

3Add melted butter.

4Fold in berries to coat well with flour.

5Pour into greased muffin tins and bake in hot oven.

6Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until brown. Serve at once.
