- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

3Melt butter; stir in sugar and vanilla.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5Add cocoa; beat until well blended.

6Add flour, baking powder and salt.

7Beat well.

8Stir in nuts.

9Pour batter into prepared pan.

10Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides.

11Cool; cut into bars.

12Makes about 36 brownies.
