Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 jar junior baby food (I use apricot, but can use any kind)
  • 1 c. buttermilk with 2 tsp. soda mixed in it
  • 2 1/2 c. flour + 1 Tbsp.
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix sugar, oil and eggs; beat well.

    Add baby food. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk and mix well.

    Stir in nuts.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
