- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 sticks whipped margarine
- 1 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. plain flour, sifted
- dash of salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla and lemon flavoring
Directions

1Cream the margarine, Crisco and sugar until fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

3Sift together the flour and salt. Add flour mixture and milk alternately.

4Pour into greased 10-inch tube pan.

5Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

6Do not open oven.

7Cake should be very tall and lightly browned when done.
