Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
  • 1 stick margarine (1/2 c.)
  • 1/4 heaping tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 5 qt. fresh popcorn
  • 1 c. salted peanuts

Directions

    Boil sugar, syrup, butter and cream of tartar together for 5 minutes and quickly stir in soda.

    Pour over mixture of popcorn and salted peanuts.

    Spread into lightly greased cookie sheet. Put in low oven (200°) for 40 minutes.

    Stir every 10 minutes. Store tightly covered.
