Better Cheddar Biscuits

  • 2 12 cups baking mix
  • 34 cup cold milk
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter
  • 14 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 -1 12 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 14 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 18 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 pinch salt

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

    Put baking mix in large bowl and use a large fork or pastry cutter to incorporate cold butter into mix ( you want pea size balls of butter throughout the mixture.)

    Add cheddar cheese and 1/4 Tsp garlic powder and mix by hand until combined (Being careful not to mush the butter or cheese too much).

    Drop by 1/4 cup portions on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 15-17 minutes until light brown.

    Melt 2Tbs butter in the microwave with 1/8 Tsp garlic powder and 1/4 Tsp dried parsley flakes and a pinch of salt and brush onto the cooked biscuits.
