  • 1 c. butter (Judges 25)
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
  • 2 Tbsp. honey (1 Samuel 14:25)
  • 1/2 doz. eggs (Jeremiah 17:11)
  • 1/2 c. milk (Judges 4:19)
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. salt (Amos 4:5)
  • 1 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
  • mixed spices to taste (2 Chronicles)

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Sift dry ingredients together and add to butter with milk.

    Beat well and bake in steeple pan 1 1/2 hours at 350°.
