Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 stalks celery, diced
  • 6 to 8 potatoes, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 to 2 carrots, shredded
  • 2 qt. boiling water
  • 2 doz. fresh clams with juice or 3 (6 1/2 oz.) cans
  • 1 pt. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • parsley to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Boil vegetables in water about 1/2 hour or until soft.

    Add clams and juice.

    Cook fresh clams 8 to 10 minutes.

    Add milk, butter and spices to taste.
