Bill'S Spanish Rice

Ingredients

• 1 cup chicken broth
• 1 medium chopped onion
• 1/2 cup chopped celery
• 1 cup green bell pepper
• 4 garlic cloves
• 1 teaspoon oregano
• 1 teaspoon basil
• 2 teaspoons chili powder
• 2 teaspoons garlic salt
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• 1/2 lb ground beef round or 1/2 lb ground sirloin
• 1 1/2 cups rice (brown)
• 3 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes (goya if possible)
• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
• 2 tablespoons olive oil (spanish if possible)
• 2 tablespoons tomato paste
