- 2 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. anise seed
- 4 Tbsp. baking powder
- 7 to 9 c. flour
- 3/4 c. water
Directions

1Cream Crisco and sugar.

2Beat the eggs and add to Crisco and sugar.

3Add anise seed, baking powder and water, stirring well. Add flour slowly, mixing real good.

4Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutters, about 1/4-inch thick.

5You can sprinkle with candy crystals (optional).

6Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.

7Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes.
