- 3 eggs
- 1 c. canola oil
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. slivered almonds, toasted and chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Mix first 4 ingredients in a large bowl with wooden spoon.

3Combine baking powder with flour and add to egg mixture, 1/2 cup at a time.

4Add nuts and mix.

5Divide dough into 6 portions and dust with a little flour to prevent stickiness.

6Form each into a loaf shape on an ungreased cookie sheet (3 loaves on 1 cookie sheet).

7Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

8Immediately cut each loaf on a slant. Return to oven on side and bake until golden.
