- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

2Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in milk.

4Mix to make a soft dough, then turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll dough out to 1/2-inch thick.

5Cut biscuits, using a 2-inch floured cutter.

6Arrange biscuits close together on a cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 425°.

7Serve warm.
