- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Mix shortening and flour thoroughly in a bowl.

3Stir in enough milk to make a soft puffy easy to roll dough.

4(Too much milk makes dough sticky; not enough makes biscuits dry.)

5Knead lightly 25 to 30 times.

6Roll 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut with biscuit cutter and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake until brown.
