  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 13 cup Crisco
  • 23 cup milk

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Cut in the Crisco.

    Remove 1 cup of this mixture to a small bowl.

    Blend with milk to form a paste.

    Stir the paste into the remainder of the dry mix.

    Knead lightly.

    Roll out on floured board about 1/2 inch thick.

    Cut out biscuits.

    Bake in oven at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
