- 1 cake yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm milk
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cracklings, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 cooked potato, mashed
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in milk.

2Add salt to flour, then work in cracklings as for pie crust.

3Combine egg with sour cream and add to flour mixture with dissolved yeast.

4Mix quickly.

5Shape into ball and refrigerate a few hours.

6Roll out on floured board and fold up like a handkerchief.

7Chill.

8Repeat rolling and folding and chill again, about 3 times.

9Roll out on floured board to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with round cutter.

10Place on greased cookie sheet.

11Let raise until about double in size.

12Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
